
New Delhi: A girl from Uttar Pradesh with an unusual name Aadhar name 'Madhu Ka Panchwa Bacha' has finally got admission after the intervention of the state Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
According to reports, the state education department officials and the school principal said the girl whose name is Aarti has been given admission.
"The woman had come on April 2 for the admission of her daughter. We had asked to get the Aadhar card corrected. She has been admitted to the school," Seema Rani, the principal of the school was quoted as saying by the media.
In an act of negligence, the girl's name was Madhu's Fifth child was found written, which left the school as well as Badaun District Magistrate shocked.
Speaking on the same, the girl's mother asserted that due to the unusual name on her aadhar card, she was denied admission.
"I went to school to get my daughter admitted but the teacher mocked at her name in the Aadhar card that said 'Baby five of Madhu' and denied her admission," she added.
Reportedly, as soon as the news went viral, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself took cognizance of the matter, and upon his instructions; Aarti was finally given admission to the school.
Speaking over the matter, District Magistrate Deepa Ranjan said that all Aadhar Cards are made in banks and post offices and the mistake in the UP girl's Aadhar card occurred due to complete negligence in preparing the card.
''The officials of banks and post offices will be alert and strict action will be taken against those people responsible for such mistake of making an unusual name on a citizen's Aadhar card,'' she assured.
Notably, Aadhar Card and its number play a significant role in any kind of official procedure and therefore it is very essential to be aware of the corrections needed in those cards to avoid such inconvenience.
